LTSS General Meeting

Our first meeting of the 2010-11 academic year is coming soon… We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and hard-working students to join us as we develop and execute a number of exciting events in and around the school.

In particular, we need students to assume the following executive positions:

• First-Year Representatives
• Webmaster

Please come prepared with a brief, 2-minute introduction about yourself.
This is an ideal opportunity to get involved in what promises to be an exciting year!

Pizza lunch will be provided!!!

When: SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 from 11:30 - 1pm

Where: Fauteux Hall, Room 416

LTSS will hold its first General Meeting on September 23, 2009 from 11:30 - 1pm.  First on the list will be elections for the below executive positions. If you are interested in running, please let LTSS know in advance by e-mailing ltss.exec@uottawa.ca. Everyone is welcome. Please be ready to give a 2 min intro about yourself and your background at the meeting.

 This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in what promises to be an exciting 2009-2010 academic year. The LTSS will be working with the new Research Centre for Law, Technology and Society, the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC), the Law and Technology Professors and the university community as a whole to bring you new and innovative events. Well it’s time to join us for our end of term elections.  The meeting will take place between 11:30 and 1pm in FTX 135, on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009.  The available positions are:

We are happy to invite you all to our bake sale which will occur on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, from 11h30-13h00 in the Atrium. This fundraiser will also be a foreshadowing of our chosen film presentation on counterfeiting.  So come out and shop for some knock off cupcakes and other goodies!!!

Information on the IP firm tour 2008 is now up on our Events page, check it out and we will update it if anything changes.

Thanks to everyone who signed up for the mailing list at the Club Fair.  If you missed out, send an email to ltss.exec@gmail.com and we’ll add you.  If you were on the list before and would like to opt out, send us a request to the same address.

Once we hear from the school for a time that works with most schedules, we’ll be holding our first meeting where you can learn about who we are and what we do.  At that meeting we’ll be electing a first-year English and French representative to the executive.  If you are interested in applying, please send us your info by September 15th.
